Premier League title chasers Liverpool are sweating on the fitness of both Roberto Firmino and Fabinho ahead of their Champions League clash with Spanish champions Barcelona.

Barcelona host the Reds in the first leg of their Champions League semifinal tie at the Nou Camp on Wednesday night and the two aforementioned players are doubtful for the game.

Firmino and Fabinho sat out the thumping win over Huddersfield Town on Friday night which was the last game played by the Reds.

Without the two Brazilians, Liverpool didn’t have many problems as they thrashed basement club Huddersfield Town 5-0 at home to secure top spot on the Premier League table though title rivals Manchester City have since reclaimed the summit after their 1-0 away win over Burnley on Sunday afternoon.

Roberto Firmino missed the Huddersfield Town game with a muscle injury while Fabinho was an absentee because of a head injury from the penultimate Liverpool game against Cardiff City which resulted in a 2-0 away win.

Liverpool fans would be hoping that Roberto Firmino can reunite with fellow forwards Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah upfront ahead of the Barcelona game.

The Liverpool front three of Salah, Firmino and Mane have scored 25 goals, 16 goals and 24 goals respectively in all competitions this season.
