Man City Won’t Drop Many Points – Klopp On Title Race

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp believes that Premier League title rivals Manchester City won’t drop many points between now and the end of the season as the race for the league title hots up.

Klopp, while speaking during his post-match thoughts after the Fulham game, told reporters that Premier League champions Manchester City won’t drop a lot of points in their remaining league games as they attempt to retain the title they won last season.

The German tactician also pointed out that Liverpool will have to continue to win to have any chance of beating Manchester City to the Premier League title.

Klopp and Liverpool had to work hard for their win over struggling London club Fulham in their Premier League clash on Sunday evening.

Sadio Mane is the most in-form player in the Premier League and he gave Liverpool a well deserved first-half lead in the 26th minute.

Liverpool were cruising to a 1-0 win until a mix-up between Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson Becker gave the home side an unlikely equaliser from former Reds winger Ryan Babel in the 74th minute.

Fulham were only level for seven minutes after a moment of madness from their goalkeeper Sergio Rico.

He brought down Mane in the box and James Milner slammed home the penalty to give the Reds a 2-1 win which was enough to take Liverpool to the top of the table ahead of rivals Manchester City.

They have a two-point lead over the Citizens who have now played a game less than Liverpool.
