Liverpool wants £27million for 23-year-old box to box midfielder

According to Corriere Dello Sport, Merseyside giants Liverpool will ask for around £27million from Serie A giant Juventus for the signature of Emre Can should both team agree to transfer.

The 23-year-old has emerged as Massimiliano Allegri’s main priority in central midfield as Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri looks to strengthen his team ahead of next season.

The German, despite his versatility, has struggled to seal a starting berth at Anfield since arriving back in 2014, and he has been a frustrated figure at the Merseyside club.

The FIFA Confederations Cup winner has refused to extend his deal beyond 2018 and looks likely to bid goodbye this summer transfer window.

The current situation at Merseyside could see Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp block a transfer, though.

The Reds are struggling hard to keep Brazilian Philippe Coutinho off FC Barcelona’s reach, midfield target Naby Keita isn’t switching clubs, while Adam Lallana is set to spend about three months on the sidelines due to a thigh problem.

Liverpool could be left with just two first-team midfielders by month end for selection, and it won’t be a good way to start the season.

As far as the German’s proposed departure plans go, a lot of scenarios would keep coming up.
