Liverpool set to land third summer signing as star target jets in for medical

Merseyside giant Liverpool are on the brink of completing their third signing of the summer after Andrew Robertson this week reportedly left Hull City‘s training camp in Portugal.

It’s believed that Liverpool have completed a £8million deal for the Hull City star, following weeks of rumour, and the 23-year-old defender follows England youngster Dominic Solanke and Egyptian Mohamed Salah in signing on the dotted line at Anfield Stadium.

According to The Daily Mirror, Robertson has said his goodbyes to his team-mates at Hull City, who are presently at a warm-weather pre-season training camp in Portugal, and a medical is fixed with Liverpool.

It’s thought the Red landing Robertson could aid Hull City in their chase of Liverpool’s youngster Ryan Kent.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been scouring the market for a left-back for some time and the German finally set to solve a problem position for Liverpool.

England international James Milner played the majority of the Red’s games at left-back last campaign, and the manager is keen to ensure Milner has sufficient competition.

Robertson’s expected arrival would indicate that Alberto Moreno has played his last game for the Merseysiders, with Serie A side Napoli reportedly interested in the Spaniard.
