Liverpool Could Splash €100M On Another Fantastic Player This Month

Lots of superb players have been linked with Liverpool even before the start of the ongoing winter transfer window, and one of them is Sporting CP’s, Gelson Martins.

The talented player is back in the limelight as far as Liverpool’s transfers are concerned.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were heavily linked with a move for Martins during the past summer transfer window, but nothing could happen before the closure of the window.

But it was made known record.pt recently that the Anfield club have been keeping tabs on the Portuguese player in recent times and are likely to do all they could to get his signature now that Coutinho’s departure seems likely.

It was also added that Liverpool reps were present to watch Martins play against Benfica recently in the Portuguese top flight.

This season so far in 28 games for Sporting, Gelson has scored nine times and has provided seven assists to his teammates.

However, Sporting are unlikely to allow him to leave this month, and Liverpool will have to spend lots of money if they are to convince the Portuguese club to allow him to leave.

Record.pt also said that Martins’ club are looking to increase his release clause from €60million to €100million.

We look on if manager Jurgen Klopp will actually pay such an amount on the player.
