Merseyside giants Liverpool are the 2019 FA Youth Cup champions after they saw off rivals Manchester City to win the trophy.

Bobby Duncan is the cousin of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard who’s now the manager of Scottish Premiership club Rangers.

Liverpool were successful with their five spot kicks during the penalty shootout while Cole Palmer smashed the second Manchester City penalty against the crossbar to hand the Reds the advantage.

In the end, Paul Glatzer scored the winning penalty to give Liverpool the FA Youth Cup trophy.

Liverpool and Manchester City are in a keenly contested race for the Premier League title with the Reds trailing by a solitary point at the moment though they can return to the top of the table with a win over Huddersfield Town later on Friday.
