Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona are leading the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Luka Jovic according to reports emanating from the media in Spain.
Luka Jovic is a Serbian international and he has been turning heads on the European football scene with his performances for German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt.
The 21-year-old is one of the most sought-after young talents in Europe.
According to the publication from trusted Spanish newspaper Marca, Barcelona are in the driving seat in the race to sign Luka Jovic.
The Serbian striker was initially linked with a move to Premier League giants Liverpool before other major European clubs like Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid were alerted to his quality.
It looks like Liverpool will miss out on him to five-time European champions Barcelona when the transfer window reopens this summer.
Luka Jovic has been in good goalscoring form for Frankfurt with 15 goals in the German Bundesliga this term.
In total, he has scored 23 times for Frankfurt in all competitions this season.
Luka Jovic is on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt from Portuguese giants Benfica.
