Liverpool ace still confident on joining La Liga Giant

Brazil and Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho seems to be well on his way to sign a €100+ million contract with Spanish La Liga giants F.C. Barcelona.

The Brazil international midfielder has been on Barcelona’s searchlight since the start of the summer transfer window and could replace country mate Neymar Jr after his world transfer record move to Paris Saint Germain.

According to a report on ESPN, the 25-year old attacker wants to abandon Jurgen Klopp’s team for the Barcelona jersey, as he recently handed in a transfer request to the Reds. However, Liverpool has reportedly denied his transfer request with the hopes of keeping him at Anfield Stadium.

Philippe Coutinho’s profile of quick feet, dribbling technique and creative passing skills fit in perfectly with Barcelona’s football philosophy, which is why he has the La Liga club’s board on their feet hoping to bring the midfielder to Camp Nou.

If the versatile and flying winger signs a deal with FC Barcelona, he will be of great service to new Barcelona manager Valverde, as the recently appointed head coach enters the 2017/2018 campaign without Neymar Jr.

The Reds are believed to rate the Brazilian nearer to £145 million which is likely to exceed even Barcelona budget.
