Lionel Messi urges La Liga giant to sign Chelsea superstar

Over the last few seasons, Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard has been mentioned in that group of A-list players just after the Argentine Lionel Messi’s and Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo’s of this world, but the rumour has always been that the Belgian could leave for the Spanish La Liga to play alongside one of football superstars.

La Liga Champions Real Madrid have been long-term admirers of the Belgium international playmaker dating back to his days at French Ligue 1 side Lille but it’s Catalan side FC Barcelona who are being strongly linked with the versatile attacking player as Argentina international forward Messi personally recommends signing the Chelsea star.

Having failed to properly replace Brazil international forward Neymar Jr, La Liga giant Barcelona are still in the transfer market for another good attacker to add to their front line and Lionel Messi has requested that the Spanish side move to bring in the Chelsea superstar after reports made the rounds that Real Madrid were cooling their effort to secure his signature.

Eden Hazard has been in good form so far this campaign, netting five goals and providing four assists in 15 matches across all competitions.

The Catalan club failed to secure the signature of Brazil star Phillipe Coutinho from Merseyside club Liverpool in the summer transfer window despite bids in excess of £120million and it would likely take a bigger transfer fee to convince Chelsea to negotiate any deal.
