LeBron James is Nearing 50,000 Points and It Only Highlights My Lack of Productivity

LeBron James is continuing to play basketball at an elite level, and the sports world is tracking his journey toward 50,000 career points. I sat down and tried to calculate if I had done 50,000 of *anything* in my entire life. The only thing I have done 50,000 times is heavily sigh while refreshing a browser tab.

A Monument to Consistency

LeBron’s consistency is an insult to my procrastination. He has spent two decades dominating professional athletes. I have spent two decades trying to remember the password to my old Yahoo email account. We are not the same species.

Stop Achieving Things

Every time he scores a basket, my internal monologue screams, “We get it, you’re better than me!” I need him to retire so the bar for human achievement can lower back down to a more manageable level. My ego cannot take much more of this greatness.
