Keen to add to their forward line this summer following the departure of Alvaro Morata to Real Madrid, Juventus  have submitted a bid of around €30 million for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

The big-money offer follows swiftly on from the Spaniard’s return to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, but is still believed to fall well short of the Premier League club’s valuation.

Sanchez is deemed to be one of the Gunners’ prized assets, and after earning Player of the Tournament at the Copa America last month, The Sun reports that Arsene Wenger is likely to demand far more than the €42.5 million they gave Barcelona to purchase the attacker in 2014.

With this in mind, the figure proposed by the Serie A champions’ is believed to have angered Arsenal chiefs, who would expect to recoup a much higher fee for a player that has scored 29 league goals across two seasons.

However, one source of hope for Juve is that after two years of relatively poor displays from the north London team in the Champions League , Sanchez’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, has reportedly told club officials that his client is interested in a move away from the English capital.

Since his switch from the Camp Nou to the Emirates, the powerful 27-year-old has dazzled supporters with his high-energy performances and regular goal returns
