European giants consider battling Champions League winners for transfer of top Arsenal star

According to reports, Arsenal face interest from Italian Serie A Champions Juventus in a transfer switch for defender Hector Bellerin, who has recently been strongly linked with Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The Spain international right-back has been a major player for North London club since becoming a regular starter during the 2014/15 campaign, and is one of the highly rated young right-backs in the beautiful game.

As per Tuttosport, the right-back is now on Juventus’ wish list as they eye reinforcements in the full-back department.

This follows recent reports by Don Balon that Real Madrid Supremo Florentino Perez was also closely watching Bellerin, though the Gunners will do all they can to stop him leaving the club.

The 22-year-old defender’s energy, pace and quality make him a perfect player for the Gunners in their system, which often includes using wing-backs as additional attackers.

Having brought the defender through from the side’s youth squad, Arsenal’s French tactician Arsene Wenger would be frustrated to see the player display a lack of loyalty by joining a bigger club so soon.

Having said that, Wenger’s team need to do more to tie down their star players and that will include competing for major honours.
