Deal Almost Agreed! Arsenal tipped to complete shock switch of Manchester United star

According to reports, Arsenal are the bookies’ favourites to complete a surprise transfer stitch for Manchester United second choice goalkeeper Sergio Romero.

The experienced Argentina international safe hand has shone as a team player for the Old Trafford giant, showing that he could possibly be worth a starting place at most big sides.

Unfortunately for the shot-stopper, he is behind the world-class Spain international goalkeeper David de Gea in this present Manchester United team, something few Goalkeepers in the world could cope with.

As per the Daily Star, bookmaking giants Ladbrokes are making the Gunners the favourites to sign Romero if he does eventually depart Old Trafford in search of regular football.

Ladbroke’s Alex Apati disclosed that with Spaniard David de Gea on the scene at United, Sergio Romero will never break into Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up and it now seems likely that Arsene Wenger will make good use of the goalkeeper’s availability.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a surprise transfer for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, so it may be that the Gunners are already looking at replacing the ageing and declining Petr Cech.

Top news publication Don Balon have linked Arsenal, Juventus and Paris Saint Germain with the German, but he looks a far more ambitious transfer target than Sergio Romero.
