Paris Saint Germaine has slapped a £68.2m price tag on Marco Verratti amid reports linking him to Chelsea.
The Blues have reportedly set their sights of signing a midfielder to the current squad and the Italian midfielder is one of the options lined up for potential move in the January transfer window.
Reports in Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport has claimed that Juventus are willingness to pay the asking price for Marco Veratti, after general manager Beppe Marotta revealed earlier this week that the Serie A Champion are scouting the market for a world-class midfielder next summer
‘In midfield we have some interesting young Italians, and we’re looking for a top player in that role who will be available for next season,’ he said.
Chelsea on the other hand are keen on signing the 24-year-old but are believed to have quoted £40 million for the purchase of Veratti which is below PSG’s price tag.
However, a deal to sign Veratti in the summer might prove difficult for the Blues and Juventus because his current contract expires in 2021.
Veratti has not been impressive under new boss, Unai Emery which has sparked speculations the Italian midfielder is eyeing an exit from Parc desx Princes.
