I would have stopped playing football, United player recounts dark moment

Although, the dark moments are over but it cannot be forgotten by the Manchester United star, Luke Shaw who said he almost stopped playing football after breaking his leg in 2015.

What is now being appreciated by many in this current season wouldn’t have been seen if the worst had happened to the Englishman many some years back.

In 2015, the full-back suffered a horrible leg-break in a Champions League clash with PSV Eindhoven forcing him out of action but no one knew that would have been their last game of him.

Shaw said he was also not aware at the initial stage until his doctor had told him months later of the extent of the injury.

Admitting that he became scared, Shaw said he wouldn’t have given up until it was over for him.
