Bayern Leverkusen talented youngster Kai Havertz is fast becoming a hot prospect in Europe and has been in the news recently as a result of his superb performances at the club.
The latest being said about him right now is that premier league side Liverpool have joined in the race for his signature
According to reports, the Merseyside club sent scouts to watch him play in Germany’s U19s game against Belarus two days ago.
The talented midfielder, who is often being compared with German legend Micheal Ballack, scored four goals as his side thrashed their opponents 5-1.
Daily Mail made it known that even though other big English sides like Arsenal and Manchester United have been monitoring the 18-year-old’s situation at his club for over a year now, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool sent scouts to watch him play against Belarus.
Kai made 24 appearances for Leverkusen last term and managed to score four goals for the club. The talented youngster made his debut at the tender age of 17 and has made four appearances this season so far.
However, it was added that the Bundesliga club are very much unlikely to sell him to other clubs, and won’t even be entertaining offer for him when January comes.
The club are said to have long-term plans for the teenager and are keeping him for the future.
