Chelsea Target Denies Rift Rumours With Ronaldo

Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has denied widespread rumours that he didn’t get along with Cristiano Ronaldo while both players were at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.

Bale said to BT Sport’s “What I Wore” that he had no issues with the Portuguese national team skipper.

The Welshman also added that he got along well with Cristiano Ronaldo and that the media was trying to create problems where there was none.

Gareth Bale could follow Ronaldo out of Real Madrid with reports linking him back to the Premier League.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a return to North London giants Tottenham Hotspur as well as Manchester United and Chelsea.

Reports had claimed that Gareth Bale is on the transfer shortlist of the Blues in case star player Eden Hazard leaves the club this summer.

Hazard has one year left on his current deal at Chelsea amidst strong interest from outgoing European champions Real Madrid.

The Belgian could be the direct replacement for Ronaldo who joined Real Madrid for a then world-record deal of £80m in 2009 and went on to spend nine years before leaving for Italian Serie A club Juventus last summer.

Bale became a Real Madrid player in 2013 as he broke Ronaldo’s record after the Spaniards paid £85.3m to sign him from Tottenham Hotspur.
