Forget Emre – Liverpool Can Now Sign Star Midfielder With €45M

After losing Phillipe Coutinho this month to Barcelona, Liverpool are likely to lose Emre Can also at the end of this season.

The Germany international has been strongly linked with a move away from Liverpool in recent times. His current contract at Anfield will expire next summer, and he has refused to put pen on paper for a new deal with the Merseysiders.

There are new reports that Jurgen Klopp’s side are ready to sign Roma’s Kelvin Strootman to replace the German when he leaves Anfield later this year.

Premium Sport HD even suggest that Emre Can could be sold this January – to avoid losing him for nothing next summer – and Liverpool are ready to sign Kelvin immediately.

It was suggested that the player’s party could fast-track everything if the Merseysiders are ready to come up with a concrete offer.

And even Roma won’t mind letting go of him if Liverpool can activate the €45 million in his contract, the report added.

Strootman is a versatile player who can effectively play both as a creative central midfielder and as a defensive midfielder, and he will definitely add lots of quality to Jurgen Klopp’s team should he join Liverpool.

This season so far in 15 Serie A games for the Italian club, he has scored just once.
