Everton In £15m Bid To Sign Player Likened To Liverpool Defender

Merseyside rivals Everton could be set to sign a player likened to Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold when the January transfer window reopens at the start of next week.

This is according to the publication from The Boot Room (TBR) which claimed that young Norwich City defender Max Aarons could follow in the footsteps of the Liverpool defender by playing in the Premier League for the Toffees.

Trent Alexander-Arnold came through the ranks at Liverpool before bursting onto the first team picture last season.

He was a consistent performer for the Reds team that reached the final of the Champions League last season before they were beaten by World Club Cup champions Real Madrid.

His Liverpool form led England manager Gareth Southgate to name him as a part of the 23-man Three Lions squad to this summer’s FIFA World Cup tournament in Russia.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and England impressed at the tournament as they finished in fourth place at the end of the season.

Max Aarons would be hoping to establish himself in the Premier League and for the England national team just like Alexander-Arnold.

The 18-year-old is rated at around £15m and he has been a major part of the Norwich City team that’s in the promotion picture in the English Championship.

Tottenham Hotspur are also keen on a transfer for the young defender.
