Pep Guardiola spent a lot of cash during the past summer transfer window to bring in new players into his team, and it appears the former Barcelona boss still has lots of plans in the nearest future.
It was made known that Man City are among the clubs showing interest in getting the signature of Lazio midfielder Sergey Milinkovic-Savic.
According to Sergey’s agent Mateja Kezman who made this known, not only the Etihad Stadium club are making enquiries about the player, but Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are also in the race for the talented Serbian.
Milinkovic-Savic has shone with Lazio and has become one of the most important members of the club. The 22-year-old moved to the club in 2015 and has long been regarded as one of the most exciting prospects in the Serie A.
His impressive performances have caught the attention of a handful of top clubs across Europe, and his representative even revealed interests from La Liga champions Real Madrid.
Kezman revelations suggest that both Mourinho and Guardiola may be stepping up their interest in the Serb and a big transfer fight is looming between the two managers in the nearest future.
Both Manchester sides are currently on fire so far this season and are leading the premier league table.
