Europa League Quarterfinals: Chelsea Drawn Against Slavia Prague

Former winners Chelsea will have to navigate past Czech Republic side Slavia Prague in the bid to win the Europa League again after the two clubs were drawn together in the quarterfinals.

The Europa League quarterfinal draw took place on Friday as Chelsea avoided fellow title favourites Napoli and Arsenal.

Italian Serie A giants Napoli and North Londoners will face each other in one of the other quarterfinal games.

German Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt and Benfica face off in a last eight clash, while Villarreal take on Valencia in the final fixture.

Slavia Prague will host Chelsea in their first leg clash on Thursday, April 11 before the Blues host their Czech opponents on Thursday, April 18.

Czech club Slavia Prague stunned Sevilla 4-3 at home after extra time to seal a quarterfinal place via a 6-5 aggregate win over the Spaniards.

Chelsea were dominant in their last 16 tie with Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv following an 8-0 aggregate victory.

The Blues had won the first leg 3-0 at Stamford Bridge before they handed out a 5-0 away win in their second leg clash in Ukraine.

2018 FIFA World Cup winner Olivier Giroud was the hero for Chelsea as he scored three goals in the 5-0 thumping of the Ukrainians.
