Deal On: Derby Target Permanent Transfer For Chelsea Loanee Amidst Celtic Interest

Premier League hopefuls Derby County are reportedly plotting a permanent move for highly rated defender Fikayo Tomori this summer.

Fikayo Tomori is on a season-long loan deal at Derby County from Chelsea whom he left for the Rams during last summer’s transfer window.

According to the Daily Mirror, Derby County want a permanent deal for Tomori if the Rams secure promotion to the top flight of English football.

Scottish champions Celtic are also interested in a move for the young centre back.

Fikayo Tomori has been in very good form for Derby County this term in their quest for Premier League promotion at the end of the season.

The Nigerian-born English defender has been one of the best players for Derby County under the guidance of manager Frank Lampard.

Chelsea legend Lampard has done well for Derby County who are in the Championship Playoffs final after overcoming a first leg deficit against Leeds United in their semifinal tie.

Lampard and Derby had earlier lost the first leg 1-0 at home before coming from behind to beat Leeds United 4-2 in the second leg away from home to seal a 4-3 aggregate win.

Derby County will face Aston Villa in the final of the Playoffs to the third promoted team for the Premier League next season after Norwich City and Sheffield United.
