Isco Chelsea on red alert

One-time European champions Chelsea are facing two other teams in the quest to sign unsettled Real Madrid midfielder Isco in the summer.

This is according to the Rai Sport which claimed that three teams are strong favourites to sign the talented Spanish international star.

It was revealed that Chelsea, English champions Manchester City and Italian Serie A giants Juventus are the three teams to show strong interest to sign the 26-year-old Spaniard when the transfer window reopens in the summer.

Spanish international Isco has previously been linked with a move to Premier League table toppers Liverpool who have struggled with creativity on some occasions this season.

The Liverpool midfield has come under severe criticism this season and it’s one area that the Reds could improve with Isco.

The former Malaga star has become a fringe player for Real Madrid under manager Santiago Solari since he was appointed as the man to take the team forward following the disappointments of the Julen Lopetegui-led managerial era.

Ex-Spanish national team coach Lopetegui was dismissed from his job as the Real Madrid manager in October after the Los Merengues were thrashed 5-1 by arch rivals Barcelona in the El-Clasico.

He was swiftly replaced by Santiago Solari within days.
