Conte Was Asked If Matic Is Moving To Man Utd, Here Is His Response…

Chelsea star player Nemanja Matic has been strongly linked with Man United in recent times and he appears determined to reunite with his former manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

However, in his press conference ahead of the game against Bayern Munich, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was unwilling to discuss the Serb’s future at Stamford Bridge.

The former Benfica player is expected to leave Chelsea this summer despite playing a great role in Chelsea’s ability to win two premier league titles in the space of three years.

The Serbian midfielder has been an influential figure at Stamford Bridge but is now deemed surplus to requirements after the arrival of former Monaco defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.

It is understood that Man United boss Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in Matic to Old Trafford as he is yet to have a main strong defensive midfielder in his squad after he arrived Manchester last summer.

Also last week, there were widespread speculations that club owner Roman Abramovich has approved Matic’s £50M move to Man United and seem to have no intention of tying the player down at the club.

And when the Italian manager contra was asked an the player’s future on Monday, he simply said:

‘I don’t like to speak about players who are not here with us.’

Antonio Conte won the premier league title in his first campaign at Stamford Bridge and in England and he will aim replicating something close to that this new season.
