Chelsea manager holds transfer talks with 30-year-old star

According to reports emanating from Chile, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has held discussions with Chilean Arturo Vidal about joining the West London club.

The Bayern Munich star, who was brought in by Antonio Conte for Serie A giants Juventus back in 2011, has a deal at the Allianz Arena which runs out in June 2019, and reports emanating from Germany suggest that Bayern Munich are open to bids for the 30-year-old midfielder at the conclusion of the campaign.

As per La Cuarta, Antonio Conte has discussed to Arturo Vidal in a bid to lure him to move to Chelsea.

The report also suggests that the Chelsea manager held contract talks, with the reigning English Premier League champions set to pay the star a salary worth about £250,000-weekly.

Despite this, the claim suggests the German side would want a fee for the Chilean in the region of about £60 million, which might prove to be a major stumbling block in any transfer.

Talking after the Blues 2-0 victory over Brighton last Saturday, Antonio Conte refused to completely rule out a transfer for Vidal.

The midfielder, who turns 31 in 2018, was signed by the Italian tactician for Juventus back in 2011 along with the coach, won three Italian Serie A titles together.
