Why we can’t sign Andreas Christensen, Club boss revealed

Chelsea center back defender, Andreas Christensen through a statement via his father disclosed he would leave the club if he doesn’t get enough playing chances before Christmas.

The Blues player has not gotten enough playing chances with Maurizio Sarri preferring to start the duo of Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz at the center back.

Christensen’s father and agent, Sten in a recent statement disclosed he doesn’t want a loan deal for his son but a permanent deal away from Stamford Bridge if Chelsea can’t give him enough playing chances.

The Blues are ready to sell him off permanently and his likely destination had been reported to be Germany.

However, the German club, Borussia Monchengladbach, where Andreas Christensen had previously played on loan have downplayed report that they wanted to sign him.

According to the club’s sporting director, Max Eberl they have a good relationship with Christensen but they wouldn’t be able to sign him.

This is because the amount Chelsea is asking for the 22 years old is too much and the German club are not ready to meet such demands.

Apart from this, the Bundesliga club already have Mathias Ginter and Nico Elvedi at their disposer.
