La Liga giant turn down offer for Arsenal target, demand £35million

Reports indicate FC Barcelona have allegedly rejected a bid from Serie A giant Inter Milan for midfield maestro Rafinha as they demand close to £35million for the Brazilian.

The Gunners were recently linked with the midfielder by Don Balon, with the Spanish outlet suggesting the 24-year-old could leave after the winter signing from Liverpool of Philippe Coutinho.

The Serie A giants were also linked with the Brazilian at that point, and it looks like they’ve made the first approach to try and sign him, though they haven’t tabled enough offer.

As reported by Mundo Deportivo, Inter tabled an offer of about £22million for the Barca star, but the Catalan club snubbed it to demand for more money.

The latest report suggests they are holding out for about £35m for the Brazil international midfielder, so the North Londoners may want to have that in mind if they think of rivalling Inter Milan for the player’s signature this transfer window.

The versatile midfielder has heavily struggled to seal a regular spot in a competitive Barcelona team, but the midfielder could eventually be a decent signing for other top European teams.

The Gunners could certainly appreciate upgrades in midfield right now, and the Barcelona star still has enough time to prove himself to the manager that he is capable of being the player the Spanish club thought he would be when he was signed as a highly-rated starlet.
