Conte Reveals New Injury Concern Ahead Of Qarabag And Arsenal Games

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has given an update on the fitness of summer signing Danny Drinkwater ahead of his side’s games with Qarabag and Arsenal.

The former Leicester City man is yet to make an appearance for his new side after sustaining a thigh injury while in training with his former side, before securing a £35million transfer move to West London.

Drinkwater was an unused substitute as his new side beat his former club 2-1 on Saturday afternoon, and it seems he has picked up a fresh injury.

And Conte speaking ahead of his side’s injury concerns on Monday, made it known that the English midfielder had a muscular issue in his calf, revealing that the club is waiting to check the problem.

The manager also said he will have to rotate his men with a busy September schedule upfront, and according to him ‘six matches in 21 days is not easy’.

The Italian tactician also said he trust all the players in his team – a good indication anyone can play against any team in any competition and at anytime.

After a disappointing opening day defeat to Burnley at Stamford Bridge, the premier league champions have bounced back to win the rest of their premier league games, and are now sitting on the third spot of the premier league table.
