Arsenal’s bid to land new defender is making progress after latest reports

North London outfit Arsenal are keen to land a new defender in this summer transfer window after suffering a very disappointing last season.

The Gunners team conceded a total of 50 goals which is rare for a big side with such reputation like Arsenal and there is already a move to have that resolved.

Arsenal are reportedly making efforts to show some of their players the way out and being linked with a number of defenders which is already making good progress after claims that they have reached advanced talks to sign Saint-Etienne defender William Saliba.

William Saliba has been on the radar of the North London outfit for a number of months and it is claimed that there is a will by the Gunners team to land him before the end of the summer window.

Unai Emery is reported to be desperate on the star player, having known him and his quality when he was in the French League. This adds to the fact that William Saliba is young and has more years to play.

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that the Ligue 1 club are willing to let him go but they must cash in the sum of €30m for his signature.
