Liverpool Defender Delighted With Old Trafford Draw

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson is happy with the outcome of the Reds’ Premier League clash at Manchester United.

In his post-match thoughts with the Liverpool website, the Liverpool left-back expressed his delight with the goalless draw with Manchester United in their league clash at Old Trafford.

He further stated that there was an opportunity to secure the maximum points but they are happy with the point which took Liverpool to the top of the Premier League table.

The Scottish national team skipper went on to say that Liverpool started the game better but struggled to create good chances to find the back of the net.

The Liverpool attack of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino struggled to break down their hosts despite the injuries suffered by Manchester United.

The Red Devils lost three players to hamstring injuries in the first half of the game which also saw Firmino exit as a result of an injury.

Ander Herrera, Juan Manuel Mata and substitute Jesse Lingard were all forced off in the first half.

England international Lingard had replaced Mata before he suffered a recurrence of the injury that made him a doubt for the game.

Robertson and Liverpool would be hoping to get back to winning ways when they host London club Watford on Wednesday night.
