According to reports, Premier League champions Chelsea are stepping up their efforts to make the first signing this summer and are closing in on signing both Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alex Sandro from Monaco and Juventus respectively.
It is understood that Chelsea Italian boss Antonio Conte has grown frustrated with the club’s lack of transfer activity and is expecting new arrivals.
The Guardian reported that the lack of progress in the transfer market this summer has greatly frustrated Conte as there are rumours that he have had a fall out with the management.
It is understood that the 47-year-old Italian is yet to sign the new deal offered to him by the club, and the club’s management are now hoping their activities in the transfer market will persuade him to keep full attention at Stamford Bridge.
Conte is currently on vacation and is expected to be back in the first week of July. The Stamford Bridge club are keen on making at least two signings before his arrival for the next campaign.
Jose Mourinho is also said to be interested in signing Tiemoue Bakayoko for Manchester United, but the France international seem destined to a move to Chelsea. The blues are highly hopeful of finalising his signing with a fee around £40 Million.
