Liverpool Have To Be More Clinical

Merseyside giants Liverpool have to be more clinical in their upcoming games according to club skipper Jordan Henderson as they try to win major trophies (Premier League and Champions League) between now and the rest of the season.

Jordan Henderson was reacting to the goalless draw against Everton on Sunday evening.

Henderson and Liverpool lost the Premier League summit to champions Manchester City after the away draw in their Merseyside Derby clash at Goodison Park.

Liverpool created the best chances but they were not able to find the back of the net with star forward Mohamed Salah culpable.

In his post-match thoughts via Goal, Jordan Henderson was left to rue the missed chances against Everton.

Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk also told Sky Sports that the Reds deserved to win the league game against Everton.

Liverpool could have gone to the top of the Premier League table with a win over Everton but the goalless draw means that the Reds maintain their second spot on the log.

Premier League champions Manchester City had gone above Liverpool at the top of the table with a 1-0 win at Bournemouth on Saturday courtesy of a second-half goal from substitute Riyad Mahrez.

Manchester City have a one-point lead over Liverpool at the summit with nine league games left to play.
