Premier League giants Chelsea want to put a stop to the uncertainty over their coaching situation at Stamford Bridge this week and hope to name Maurizio Sarri before the playing personnel’s return for pre-season preparations.
No formal announcement just yet
Standard Sport reports that no official announcement is currently being planned at the West London club, but that the managerial situation could be a thing of the past any moment from now.
The West London club agreed to a transfer deal in principle with the Italian manager back in June after holding negotiations with his representative Fali Ramadani.
Talks held up
But the move has been held up ever since then, with the football club unable to agree to pay the compensation fee with current boss Antonio Conte. The club have also had to negotiate amicably a release fee with Italian Napoli, which is thought to be about £4.5million, for Maurizio Sarri.
As Standard Sport disclosed on Friday, the Chelsea players have no idea about the managerial situation at Stamford Bridge and are not really sure whether Sarri or Antonio will remain at the club for the beginning of pre-season.
Blues stars not involved in the ongoing FIFA World Cup have been told to report to club base on the 9th of July and the club are determined to finally clarify things by that time.
