Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has dismissed suggestions that star player Mohamed Salah is struggling for confidence in front of goal.

In his post-match thoughts with Sky Sports after the Premier League away clash with Merseyside rivals Everton on Sunday evening, Klopp defender his player before adding that the Egyptian international star could have scored two or three goals against the Toffees.

Klopp and Liverpool were held to a goalless draw in their league game at Everton with Mohamed Salah missing the best chances created by the Reds.

Mohamed Salah had a phenomenal first season for Liverpool in the last campaign following his $44m move from Italian Serie A giants AS Roma at the start of last season.

Salah scored 32 league goals last season to set a new goals record for a 38-game season but he has not been able to get to those heights this season.

The Egyptian attacker has scored 17 league goals with just nine games left.

Mohamed Salah has not scored in his last four games for Liverpool in all competitions.

That result against Everton ensured that Liverpool lose their spot at the top of the table.

Liverpool started the weekend with a one-point lead over defending champions Manchester City but the draw ensured that they end the weekend one point behind the Citizens.
