Arsenal star Henrikh Mkhitaryan has revealed that the focus of the players is not on the league table despite returning to the fourth position following a 2-0 win over Southampton on Sunday.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan was on target alongside Alexandre Lacazette to defeat the Saints and put Arsenal back in the race for a top-four finish with Man United playing a 0-0 draw against Liverpool on the same day.
The former Man United player stated that the focus at the moment is not on the league table because of the number of games they still have ahead which is expected to make an impact.
He noted that there is a resolve by the team to remain focus and face each game as they come to ensure they achieve their aim at the end of the season.
The mandate given to the Arsenal boss Unai Emery when he signed in the last summer is to return the team back to winning ways and also ensure their return to the Champions League with a top-four finish.
Should the North London outfit fail to secure qualification, they will be losing out of the Champions League for the third consecutive year, with the last two under former manager Arsene Wenger.
