Monchi

An emerging report claims that Monchi has reacted to the reported linking him to the North London outfit Arsenal by accepting to join the club as the technical director.

The need for Monchi came up after Sven Mislintat announced his decision to leave the job as head of recruitment at the Emirates Stadium in January with claims that he is at loggerheads with some of the club’s chiefs over transfer decisions.

Monchi who is currently with Italian Serie A outfit AS Roma is believed to be one of the best in that position in the game owing to his record for discovering one of the best defenders in the world, Sergio Ramos, Jesus Navas and Jose Antonio Reyes.

He is also traced to the discovery of Dani Alves, Julio Baptista and Ivan Rakitic, with all of these players doing great in their various careers.

However, reports according to Calcio Mercato say Monchi has already said yes to Arsenal’s approach and will be joining the club with a fee of £2.6 million at the end of the season.

The forts assignment by Monchi, should he join the Emirate Stadium at the end of the season will be to manage the club’s summer transfer dealings.
