French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) have confirmed that midfielder Lassana Diarra has left the club by mutual consent.
PSG confirmed his exit on Thursday afternoon via their official Twitter handle.
His contract was terminated with six months left on it.
The 33-year-old had signed an 18-month contract at Parc des Princes at the start of last year after joining the French giants on a free transfer.
Lassana Diarra fondly called ‘Lass’ joined PSG shortly after his contract with United Arab Emirates (UAE) club Al Jazira was terminated in December 2017.
He made his PSG debut in the French League Cup semifinal clash with Rennes on the 30th of January, 2018.
Diarra helped PSG to a 3-2 win over their opponents.
The ex-French international midfielder played 13 times for PSG in the top flight with the majority of his appearances coming under the last managerial regime of Unai Emery.
The Spaniard was the PSG manager when Lassana Diarra joined the club.
Diarra played for Chelsea between 2005 and 2007 as he made 13 league appearances for the Blues under former manager Jose Mourinho.
Lassana Diarra featured in 34 games for the French national team.
Apart from Chelsea, Al Jazira and Arsenal, Lassana Diarra has played for clubs like Arsenal, Lokomotiv Moscow and many more.
