Why Everton Defender Could Be An Option For Chelsea Next Season

Everton defender Kurt Zouma has talked about the improvement in his game since he joined the Merseyside rivals at the start of this season.

The French international centre back signed for the Toffees on loan from Chelsea last summer and he has been a regular in an Everton team that has not lived up to fans’ expectations this season especially in the Premier League.

Kurt Zouma could be an option for Chelsea in defence upon his return from his Everton loan spell this summer.

The 24-year-old spoke about his Everton career in a chat with the club’s officials as he said that manager Marco Silva has improved his game since he joined the club on the deadline of last summer’s transfer window.

Kurt Zouma further added that he has been a better player on the ball at Everton.

This would be music to the ears of Sarri who has adopted a ball playing approach since he was appointed the Chelsea manager at the start of the season.

Chelsea might need defenders in the summer with question marks over the future of David Luiz and Gary Cahill at the club.

Cahill is almost certain to leave Chelsea as a free agent in the summer, while David Luiz wants more than a one-year contract extension to extend his stay at the club.
