Serie A giant close to completing signing of former Gunner

AC Milan are reportedly close to securing the service of Arsenal chief scout Gilles Grimandi.

This according to reports will be made possible by the influence of the outgoing Arsenal chief Ivan Gazidis who is on his way to the Italian club after saying goodbye.

Reports according to La Ga Gazzetta Dello Sport say Gazidis has perfected his entire plan to have Grimandi, who is currently working at the Emirates to join San Siro.

Grimandi is believed to be a loyalist of the outgoing Arsenal chief and will not mind dumping his current employers as long as he would be accommodated at the San Siro.

Meanwhile, the Arsenal scout has a long history with the club as he once played for the North London side in North London in 1997 and ended his playing career at the club in 2002.

Although, his career as a Gunner, he scored a total of five goals in 155 competitive appearances across all competitions.

However, former manager Arsene Wenger is also linked to joining Gazidis at AC Milan with reports stating that he has begun negotiations and will have a switch in January.

Wenger had earlier hinted of his intention to return back to management in the New Year as he confesses to have missed the job having left the Emirates Stadium at the end of last season.
