Chelsea contact Serie A 29-goal striker, including €25millio teammate

Premier League Champions Chelsea have found goals hard to come by in recent weeks, and reports suggest that manager Antonio Conte could make a move for AS Roma forward Edin Dzeko as a likely solution.

Chelsea have netted only one goal in their last four matches across all competitions, with the team being held to three back-to-back goalless draws before scoring against Norwich in their Emirates FA Cup replay clash on Wednesday evening.

Even then, Chelsea could only score once in 120 minutes as the match went on to penalty shootout, and with the likes of summer signing Alvaro Morata, Belgium forward Eden Hazard and others failing to hit target, it has led to a serious issue up front in as regards regular source of goals to keep them going this season.

As reported by Premium Sport, the tactician could look to Italian Serie A to solve the problem, as the Blues have allegedly made an enquiry with AS Roma for Dzeko.

The Bosnian was in brilliant form last term, netting 29 goals in 37 Premier League matches to win the top Serie A goalscorer award.

He scored 39 in 51 matches across all competitions, while he has 12 goals in 26 matches so far this term.
