There are new reports that premier league giants Liverpool are trying to sign Barcelona star player Aleix Vidal.
The Spaniard has mainly warmed the bench at Camp Nou this season, and he needs a move elsewhere to get regular playing time.
The 28-year-old, who has mainly played as a right winger, has only featured in 15 games for Barca this season so far. He has scored twice and has provided three assists to his teammates.
And there are new reports in Spain that the player’s agent has held discussions with various clubs interested in his client’s signature – and Liverpool are one of those clubs.
Estadio Deportivo also made it known that the Merseysiders are not the only English clubs interested in Aleix, but Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United are also discussing with his agent.
His current contract at Camp Nou is meant to expire in 2020, and it’s with a release clause of €60 million.
Liverpool signed Virgil Van Dijk from Southampton this month and the Dutchman has been impressive at his new club. Virgil has added more power to Klopp’s defence, and the German boss is expected to add more quality to his side by signing more players before the closure of the ongoing winter transfer window.
