Arsenal boss to replace Alexis Sanchez with Paris Saint-Germain star in part exchange deal

Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez holds the key to Arsenal’s hopes of acquiring the services of Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler. The Chile international forward is out of deal at the end of the campaign and his form so far this season is yet to vindicate Arsene Wenger’s decision to block his exit last summer.

The former Barcelona forward remains interested in joining rivals Manchester City but French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain are interested in acquiring his services and would be ready to pay about £30million in the New Year. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was reluctant to permit Alexis Sanchez to leave last summer transfer window – especially to a rival domestic League club. However, the French tactician accepts the Chile international will not be penning a new contract and has commenced the task of looking for his replacement.

Interest in AS Monaco forward Thomas Lemar is set to increase this summer and Arsene Wenger has been told of the availability of Julian Draxler. The Germany international playmaker is no longer needed at the club under coach Unai Emery and Arsene Wenger has a long-held interest in the attacker.

As per the Daily Star, Arsene Wenger is prepared to let Alexis Sanchez join the French Ligue 1 club in January if it means getting Julian Draxler in return.
