France head coach Didier Deschamps believes Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho could join Paris Saint Germain anytime soon, and he has given his reasons.

Mourinho has been linked with a move to the Paris club, and there were speculations that his representatives have held talks with PSG about him taking the job of current manager Unai Emery at the club.

The French club are not happy with Unai for failing to win the Ligue I title last season and are reportedly ready to fire him if he failed to win the Champions League this term.

Portuguese boss Mourinho has himself fuelled rumours linking him to PSG when he declared his admiration for the club publicly, describing the club as one filled with ‘magic’, ‘quality’, and ‘youth’.

And France senior team manager Deschamps, speaking recently about the situation, believes it is quite possible to have Jose at PSG.

The former Chelsea midfielder feels Mourinho’s record of managing clubs across the globe suggests he would be open to coming to the Ligue I – since he is yet to manage a French club in his career.

The former Porto, Real Madrid and Inter Milan manager signed a three-year deal with Man United last year and won three trophies for the club – including the Europa League.

A move to PSG would see him working with some of the best players in the world like Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
