Chelsea preparing whopping £62.4million bid for 26-year-old star in January – report

Premier League Champions Chelsea are considering submitting a fresh offer for Juventus star Alex Sandro in January, according to reports in Italy.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, as cited by the Daily Express, Chelsea are keen on tabling a new offer to land the 26-year-old full-back after missing out on the defender in the summer transfer window.

The same publication claims the Serie A giant are aware of the Blues interest in the Brazilian and are keen to get the left full back to pen a new contract to keep him in Turin.

However, it is also reported that the Blues are set to make a new £62.4million offer for Sandro as Chelsea boss Antonio Conte looks to try and strenghten his options at wing-back in January.

Chelsea were strongly linked with a transfer for Sandro throughout the midsummer but could not reach an agreement with Juventus, as the West Londoners ended up signing Italian winger Davide Zappacosta from Serie A side Torino on summer transfer deadline day.

However, it is reported in the same outlet that Antonio Conte remains keen on the Brazilian and that Chelsea could make a new attempt to try and sign him in the New Year.
