Another United target set to commit future

Alex Sandro

Manchester could be set to lose another target following reports that Italian Serie A side Juventus star Alex Sandro is already close to signing a new deal with the club.

With Luke Shaw not in good form, United Boss Jose Mourinho had wished to secure a new and quality left full-back that will help the team in the second half of the season.

The Red Devils are currently in bad form with inconsistent performance and they have now slipped down to eight in the Premier League table with the Portuguese manager having the belief that his defence position is the weakest link in the team.

However, an attempt to add quality to the team might now fail following reports that the Brazilian might no longer move away from Turin as he wishes to maintain the status of being one of the best in the league.

The 27-year-old is contracted with the Old Lady until 2020 with a release clause of about £40 million but there are suggestions that he will not see out his contract with the Italian side.

However, the Red Devils will have no option than to look another direction with the former Chelsea boss hoping to storm the winter transfer window for more additions.
