Forgotten Man United Star Will Remain At Old Trafford Despite Serious Serie A Interest

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial has rejected the chance to play for Inter Milan, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has been a bit-part under Jose Mourinho since last summer, despite being one of their standout stars the season before the Portuguese’s arrival to Old Trafford, sparking reports that the forward could look elsewhere for first team opportunities.

A couple of clubs have been linked with a move for Martial but none of the moves could materialise, with reports that the former AS Monaco star wanted to fight for his place at the Red Devils.

However, United are believed to be looking at the possibility of signing a left winger this summer, with the likes of Gareth Bale and Ivan Perisic linked to make a switch to the Old Trafford.

Mourinho is said to prefer a move for Perisic due to his ability to play in the left midfield role but Inter has dragged their feet on making the transfer happen as they continue to insist that the English giants must meet their huge transfer demands for the 28-year-old.

Although, the Italian side are said to be willing to allow Perisic move to the Old Trafford if Anthony Martial would move to the opposite direction.

Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri has now come out to reveal on his social media handle that“Martial has for now discarded the Inter option. Prefer to stay in Premier if necessary.”
