Man United Target ‘Says Yes’ To Serie A Giants

Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has turned his attentions to joining Juventus instead as Manchester United stall on the deal, according to reports.

The 28-year-old has been tipped to make a stunning move from the Stamford Bridge this summer and the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko has further signaled the end of his career at the club.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is understood to be considering a move for Matic as he prepares to bolster his ranks in the central midfield ahead of the next season.

However, there are speculations that Chelsea will not allow Matic join United after the Red Devils scuppered their move for Romelu Lukaku.

Mourinho has now shifted his attentions to signing Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier instead and has even told the club executive vice chairman Ed Woodward that he should complete a move for the English midfielder before the start of the new Premier League season.

Reports in the Corriere dello Sport claim that Juventus have now moved ahead of Manchester United in the pursuit of Nemanja Matic and the player is also open to a move to the Serie A giants.

However, it is understood that the transfer fee could a stumbling block to finalizing the deal, with reports that the player has asked Chelsea to lower their asking price.
