Chelsea Show Interest To Bring In Deadly Striker As Diego Costa Replace

According to new reports, premier league champions Chelsea have made known their interest in Man City striker Sergio Aguero and are set to sign the Argentina international from the Etihad club this summer.

Chelsea are still in need of a new main man upfront after Italian manager Antonio Conte told Diego Costa at the end of last season that he is not part of his plans at Stamford Bridge next season, despite the fact that the Spanish striker emerged as Chelsea’s top scorer in their title winning campaign.

And the west Londoners had hoped to sign Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to replace Diego, but the player was snatched by Manchester United despite being linked with Chelsea for much of this summer.

And right now, Sky Sports are reporting that they they have switched their attention to Man City’s Aguero.

It was added that Chelsea are really serious about landing the player, who has arguably been the deadliest forward in the English top flight since coming from Atletico Madrid.

Sergio had scored 169 goals in his six seasons at the Etihad club and Chelsea will sure face a big battle persuading Pep Guardiola to allow the player leave.

And even though the Argentine is falling off the pecking order at City after struggling to fit into Pep Guardiola’s system last season, they are still very unlikely to sell him to a rival club.
