Transfer news – Liverpool set to Pay Fee Worth €79million to Sign Naby Keita

Liverpool are keen on signing Naby Keita from Bundesliga side Leipzig and are set to offer another big money transfer to seal the deal.

A few days back, it was reported (via Bild) that the Reds made a move worth 65 million euros to sign the African, but the bid was turned down by the Bundesliga club.

The Mirror recently came up with a report and claimed that the Merseyside giant are set to splash a big fee of about 70 million pounds (€79million) with the hope to finally capture the versatile midfielder, who is desperate to join Liverpool this summer transfer window.

According to reports going around in the media, it’s been suggested that Keita is rated around 70 million pounds. So it will be interesting to know what the Bundesliga club will do if Liverpool does offer the said amount.

It’s been reported by the same Mirror that the German club wants to hold on to the Guinean international no matter what, however, the good news for the Reds is that the 22-year-old midfielder is ready to force Leipzig to sell him.

The African played over 30 league matches last season and directly contributed to no fewer than 16 goals (8 goals and eight assists).
