Manchester United have made contact with Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata over a summer move, according to reports.
The Spaniard has been heavily linked with a move away from Santiago Bernabeu this summer due to his lack of chances under Zinedine Zidane who has used him as back-up to the likes of Karim Benzema, Lucas Vasquez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in the front line-up.
Morata is believed to have made up his mind about leaving the club this summer and have been approached by several clubs in Europe who are keen to sign him due to his brilliance, scoring 20 goals this season despite playing second-fiddle.
Reports in the Manchester Evening News have it that Manchester United have made contact with Morata over the possibility of moving to the Old Trafford this summer but might have to beat competitions from Arsenal and Chelsea who are also said in be serious about moving for the striker.
Arsene Wenger is understood to have asked Arsenal to look into the chances of luring Morata to the Emirates this summer as he hopes to find ideal additions to his squad this summer, having seen his side suffer in the current campaign.
However, the 24-year-old has hinted that he will prefer a move to Chelsea following his admiration of Antonio Conte, praising the Italian for giving him the chance to show his worth at Juventus.
